Prep the Vase: Clean your vase thoroughly with soap and water before use. Dirty vases introduce bacteria that shorten the flowers life. 2. Water Food: Fill the vase 3/4 full with fresh, cool water and dissolve the provided flower food packet. 3. Trim Stems: Remove the bouquet from its wrapping. Using sharp scissors or shears, cut 1-2 inches off the bottom of all stems at an angle (45 degrees). Cutting at an angle increases the surface area for water absorption. 4. Remove Foliage: Remove any leaves that would fall below the water line. Leaves sitting in the water will rot and contaminate the water. 5. Placement: Place the vase in a cool location away from direct sunlight, drafts (like air conditioning vents), and ripening fruit (fruit releases ethylene gas which ages flowers quickly). 6. Replenish Daily: Check the water level daily, adding more as needed. Change the water completely every 2-3 days, re-cutting the stems each time.
